Soyuz-2 launcher model 1:10

The model is cut open along a generator line: it shows how the "package" of a core and four strap-ons is arranged, where the fuel and oxidiser tanks sit, where the RD-107 and RD-108 engines are mounted and how the spacecraft is held under the fairing. That layout was born in the 1950s and has changed only in detail since — a rare case in engineering where a scheme stays competitive for over sixty years. The model is the main teaching aid on launcher design during tours. On display on a stand with compartment lighting and labelled assemblies.
