ZSh-7 flight helmet

The helmet solves several tasks at once: it protects the head during ejection and hard landings, holds the oxygen mask, carries communications and shields the eyes with a visor. The internal harness adjusts to head shape so the helmet does not shift under eight g. The ZSh-7 became one of the most widely used helmets in Soviet aviation and was produced in variants for different aircraft types, with connectors matching specific onboard equipment. On display is a helmet with the KM-32 oxygen mask and suspension system.
