Vostok launcher model 1:30

In 1961 the launcher's design was classified, and exhibitions showed exactly such models — proportions preserved but internal layout omitted. The public first saw the real shape of the R-7 only in 1967. This model travelled exhibitions in Europe and Asia, as the surviving shipping labels on its packing crate show. Today it is interesting less as a rocket model than as an artefact of how spaceflight was publicly presented. Kept in the HANGAR-Z reserve together with its original packing crate.
