Aero L-29 Delfin

Jet trainer

معروض
In 1961 the Czechoslovak L-29 won the comparative trials of trainers of the socialist countries — and the Delfin became the school desk for all pilots of the Warsaw Pact. Forgiving aerodynamics and the reliable M-701 engine suited a first-year cadet perfectly. The Aero factories built over three and a half thousand L-29s, most of which went to Soviet flight schools. Generations of pilots passed through the cockpit of the Delfin, from fighter pilots to cosmonauts. The museum machine carries the markings of the Chernigov higher military aviation school. The front cockpit is open for viewing.
